Oh this is spectacular. The imagery is so vivid, especially the part in the forest. I love the idea that the spirit of the forest is a living thing and it was helping Hermione evade him until the time was right. I also loved the idea that soul magic was tied to sex magic. Great job with the prompt, it certainly doesn't read at all like something you were rushed to write.
