Thanks, I'm happy I've got the essentials right. Calvados is that not-too-often drink my hubby enjoys, and I love the smell of it on him; I wanted a grown up drink and brandy is a bit more generic, while I've seen too many fics with wizards knocking a (fire)whisky straight past the tonsils (and I dread to think what MacGonagall makes of that) rather than savouring it.
