SS/HG Smut

SS/HG Smut Fest will be back again in 2017 for our second annual fest. Prompting will begin in just over a month from now!

2017 Fest Schedule
Thanks to everyone's feedback on last year's fest, this year's fest will have a longer period for creating your smutty masterpieces. Here is the fest timeline for 2017:

Prompting: June 2-16, 2017
Claiming opens: June 18, 2017
Submission deadline: August 18, 2017
Posting begins: September 1, 2017

Updated Rules
There have been a couple small updates to the rules this year:

• All submissions must contain explicit sexual or erotic content, as outlined in these guidelines.
  
• The minimum word count for fan fiction submitted to the fest is now 800 words
  

LJ TOS, Dreamwidth, and Posting
Livejournal will continue to be the primary home of SS/HG Smut Fest. However, the community has been backed up onto Dreamwidth in case of emergency, and you can find and join the community here: http://sshg-smut.dreamwidth.org/.

Posting in 2017 will occur on Livejournal, Dreamwidth, and AO3. Please note that due to the inability to schedule or crosspost on Dreamwidth communities, posting may occur at a slower rate on this service. Prompting and claiming will occur on Livejournal only. You do not need a Livejournal account to participate.

2017 Fest Banners

Thank you to all those who have submitted their creations so far. For those who are still working on theirs, remember that the the submission deadline is midnight Pacific Time, August 14. That's tomorrow!

If you are unable to meet the deadline, you should be contacting the fest mod now at sshgsmut@gmail.com for an extension. Extensions will not be granted if received after midnight tonight, August 13.

Claiming will also close tonight at midnight. Please do not claim prompts you will not be able to finish by the submission deadline. Extensions will not be granted for last-minute claims.
